General Rules of ARBF’s Auctions & Trading Board
** First and foremost, this is a “Hobby” for all on us (Users, Buyers & Sellers). This site serves no other purpose than to offer the ability for fellow “retro computing” enthusiasts to “trade” via a simple “auction” system in such items as befits this “hobby” **
** Please note: Site in still under “Construction” with limited testing so some functions may not work as expected **
Accurate profile
- You are required to provide a valid email address and also include your location in your profile. Your location (Limited to Australia at present) detail must have at least one of the following (town / city, state or locality)
- Your real name entered under the appropriate “First Name” & “Last Name” fields in your Profile
Connecting to ARBA (Amiga Retro Brisbane Auctions):
ARBA offers a personal auction board, and as such we take the protection of our members’ safety very seriously. In order to be able to do this, this is what we expect from you:
- No masking of your location: An account sign up has to have a verifiable location; you will not knowingly allow connection via a proxy service.
- Only one account: You are only allowed to have one (1) account with ARBA.
- We do NOT offer (Traders) accounts at this time, the site is for “Personal Trading” only at this time.
Personal Trading
“Personal Trading” means that the site “ARBA (Amiga Retro Brisbane Auctions)” is simply a platform to bring “sellers” and “buyers” together in order to trade “retro computing” items in a simple “Auction” format.
- ARBA (the site) dose not “collect” any money or organise shipping etc – this is a personal transaction between “users” of the site – “Vendors” (Sellers) & Customers (Buyers).
- ARBA (the site) can not be held responsible for items or services listed by “Vendors” (Sellers) in anyway, each “Vendor” is responsible for all aspects of any items or service listed (ie; function, price, etc).
- It is the Customers (Buyers) responsibility to seek contact with the Seller in order to obtain clarification or resolve any issues relating to any items or services listed.
- Lastly a reminder, this is a Hobby! Enjoy it and play fair!
Behaviour
Trolling, foul language and offensive or inflammatory comments will not be tolerated and will be moderated. Contentious topics, such as discussion about politics or religion, are not allowed.
Duplicated Auctions
Do not create more than one auction for the same item. If you need help accessing or editing your original auctions then please contact the administrator.
Keep it on-topic (Retro Computing)
We’re a retro computer site, ensure to keep your auctions on-topic and relevant.
Administrator contact
If you are contacted by a site administrator regarding, a problem with your account, or a Seller about a transaction on ARBA, you are asked to please respond within 24 hours of receiving the PM or email. The Site Administrator or Seller will endeavour to do the same, keep in mind this is a “hobby” for all of us!
If you are in need of help
The ARBA Administrator and ARBF moderators are here to help you with your access and any difficulties you may have in regards to ARBA. We are a friendly bunch of people and we like to help. A dedicated Forum area has been setup for this purpose, please note that the 2 sites are not linked on an account level at this time so a forum account will be required if you wish to carry out general ARBA discussions.
